We're a husband-and-wife naturalist team living and working on the Mexican border. If it walks, crawls, swims, flies, or photosynthesizes, chances are it'll get our attention, but birds are our main focus both personally and professionally. We lead walks, workshops, and tours, give presentations, write articles and books, band and count birds, scrounge for funding for our tiny nonprofit organization, and spend way too much time stuck in the office...

Scott Weidensaul does it again

We're pretty stoked because Scott Weidensaul, one of North America's finest nature writers and a heckuva nice guy, included us in his latest book, Return to Wild America (North Point Press 2005). Here's Scott during the visit to Arizona that he described in Chapter 9, admiring a freshly banded Violet-crowned Hummingbird prior to its release.

Hey Sheri, good to see you in the blogosphere. Added a link from my own blog and hope you are doing well down in AZ. Just this week I was telling someone about our Black-tailed Rattlesnake encounter on the way to Beatty's in September...keep up the good work. Cheers, Rob.
